Ribbon Cutting and Open House at The Oaks at Brookshire - July 29, 2009
The July 29th Open House was packed with civic leaders, community members, and chamber members for the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the new Memory Loss care unit at The Oaks at Brookshire Nursing and Rehab facility. West I-10 Chamber members joined the staff in the garden for the ribbon-cutting by Paul Gray, CEO assisted by Rick Carr, Business Development Director, and Craig Childs, Administrator. In addition to enjoying all the cuisine and refreshments served in the activities/living room of the new unit, which will be licensed-staffed 24/7, a secure "home" environment for patients diagnosed with dementia and at risk to wander, guests had the opportunity to meet and visit with the administrative staff who were proud to "show off" this new asset with a tour and discussion of all it has to offer.
