West I-10 Chamber EDC Committee
The Economic Development Committee is responsible for coordinating economic opportunities for new and existing businesses. The committee is primarily responsible for identifying needs, educating members of projects around the area and making recommendations to county and city government on projects that are important to the economic growth of the area.
City of Brookshire Economic
Development Corporation

Waller County Economic
Development Partnership
The WCEDP operates throughout the county and provides a variety of services to new and existing businesses. They are located at 742 12th St., Hempstead. You can contact the director, Vince Yokom, at 979-921-9059. Visit the WCEDP web site.
Small Business Development Center
The SBDC is located at Prairie View A&M University in the College of Business, Room 1B117 in Hobart Hall. If you are interested in starting a business, we suggest you give them a call or stop by. Contact Rebecca Faison, Executive Director at 936-261-9243.
The SBDC also provides many support services for area business. This includes helping to secure financing, creating business plans and training. They provide training through group seminars, or can customize a training for you.
